How to Complete Clean the Supermarket

A step-by-step full clear of Clean the Supermarket: Price Scanner first, section routes, milestone badges and the Auto-Stocker unlock. Follow the walkthrough!

What a full clear looks like

  • The exit stays chained until all 199 shelves are restocked — 1,603 items total, counted live in the bottom-left HUD.
  • Buy the Price Scanner first: it highlights every copy of the item you are looking at, not the item in your hand.
  • In this run the creator finished solo in about 2 hours 45 minutes without game passes, collecting the 50% Complete! and Clock Chaser badges on the way.

From the locked door to a clean store

  1. 1

Start here: you are locked in until the store is clean

Clean the Supermarket opens with a chained exit — ESCAPE LOCKED, finish all shelves to exit. A manager NPC opens the shift, and the mess covering the floor is your full to-do list: every scattered item has a correct shelf. You start able to hold only four items, so early trips are short — that is normal.

Learn the placement loop on the first shelf

Follow the arrow to shelf 1D/1C and the tutorial walks you through the core loop: pick up an item, stand at a shelf, place it. A mismatched slot flashes red WRONG SHELF, and a green CORRECT SHELF message confirms a good placement. The meat rolls go on the canned-meat shelf — the first of 199.

Spend your points on the Price Scanner first

Every correct placement pays points, and the UPGRADES panel [U] is where they go. The Price Scanner is the backbone of a full clear: level 3 of 4 costs 304 points in this run, and the panel says it highlights every matching item identical to the one you're looking at. That phrasing matters — it scans what you look at, not what you hold. A common rhythm: raise every ability to level 1, then push the Price Scanner again.

Clear the store section by section, big items first

Numbered signs split the store into 8 BAKERY, 9 MEAT, 10 SEAFOOD, 11 DAIRY, 12 BEVERAGES and more, with a wall directory listing what each aisle stocks. In this run the bakery, produce and meat sections were all finished inside the first hour. Big loaves and crates fill a shelf in fewer trips, so theme your cart around one section instead of mixing random finds.

Work the scanner list to sweep every copy at once

Press 1 for the Price Scanner and it lists every matching copy nearby — Baking Soda appears eight times in this shot. Walk the list, grab the duplicates and place them in one pass; each placement pops +1 Item Placed and a green CORRECT SHELF confirm. Sweeping one product type at a time beats hunting items one by one.

Track the bottom-left counters and mid-run badges

The HUD counts both progress axes: shelves stocked out of 199 and items placed out of 1,603. This run stood at 67 of 199 shelves with 323 items placed at the one-hour mark, and 115 of 199 when the badge toast appeared. The game officially awards 25% Complete!, 50% Complete! and 75% Complete! badges as you pass each milestone, which keeps a long clear measurable.

Unlock the Auto-Stocker at 350 items placed

The fourth ability stays locked until you have placed 350 items in total. The Auto-Stocker instantly shelves the matching items you are holding: load your cart from one aisle, press 4, and the whole armload goes onto shelves. It runs on a cooldown of roughly 50 seconds — the panel shows 55s dropping to 50s as you level it — so trigger it once per full cart rather than one item at a time.

Expect the endgame to slow down

Past 75% the store looks almost clean, but the last hundreds of items are the hardest: small beverage bottles and lookalike flavours spread thin across the floor. This run read 171 of 199 shelves and 1,372 of 1,603 items at around the two-and-a-half-hour mark. Keep scanning, keep themed carts, and clear one shelf face at a time.

Finish the last shelf and read 199/199

The final shelf in this run was the very first one — the canned meat near spawn, whose last loaves had been collected in a corner earlier. Placing them flipped the counters to 199/199 shelves and 1,603/1,603 items under a completion banner. The creator finished in about 2 hours 45 minutes and earned Clock Chaser, whose official description is a full clean in 3 hours or less.

Full clear FAQ

How long does it take to complete Clean the Supermarket?

It depends on your upgrades and pace. In this solo run the creator finished in about 2 hours 45 minutes without game passes. For reference, the official Clock Chaser badge requires a clean in 3 hours or less, Quick Stepper in 2 hours, Speed Runner in 1 hour — and the lobby's FASTEST CLEANS board shows clears as fast as 7:42. A first full clear can land anywhere in that range.

What badges do you get for completing the store?

Finishing awards the You Cleaned the Supermarket! badge. Speed badges stack on top per their official descriptions: Clock Chaser (3 hours or less), Quick Stepper (2 hours or less) and Speed Runner (1 hour or less). Along the way you also pass the 25% Complete!, 50% Complete! and 75% Complete! progress badges.

What should you buy first in a full clear?

The Price Scanner. It highlights every copy of the item you are looking at — not the item in your hand — so one scan strips a whole product type off the floor. Carrying capacity and movement speed keep trips short, and the Auto-Stocker, unlocked at 350 items placed, shelves a matched cartful instantly on a roughly 50-second cooldown.
